We’ll Miss You Pavarotti - At Least Your Name Drives Search Engine Traffic
It wouldn’t be right for the SEOpranos not to salute a legend like Luciano Pavarotti on this very sad day of his death. He lived a fruitful life, enjoyed food, money and companionship with beautiful women like no other. This charismatic heavyweight will not be forgotten.
Interesting enough, I was curious to see how quickly companies marketing on the Web reacted to his death in terms of advertising with search engines. I noticed the New York Times and Biography.com instantly grabbed PPC spots on Google, with the NY Times labelling their link with ”Luciano Pavarotti Dies”. Pretty straightforward.
I was impressed to see how quickly an SEM team worked to react to this daily news and seize the opportunity to gain as much relevant traffic as possible with the high volume of searches for the day. This search engine aggressiveness can only be applauded as we also applaud the great Tenor’s life and career.
